Department of motor vehicles (DMV - wikipedia) is a state-level government agency that administers vehicle registration and driver licensing. Headquarters of the largest DMV's and DMV field offices provide vehicle registration services and driver license/identification (ID) card services for all citizens. Some DMV transaction can be done conveniently online, but unfortunately just some. DMV offices ( are normally closed on Sundays and Mondays and some DMV offices have non-standard opening hours or are only open on certain days. Remember, you can't renew a Class A, Class B or commercial driver license online.
